AYM NOTES October 28, 2007

High School Retreat
The High School Retreat is next weekend…sign up this week if you are planning to attend. We’ll have a guest speaker: Doug Page, from Huntsville, Tx., to guide us through our theme: FEED THE DOG! Don’t let your soul starve to death during the school year!
The retreat will begin after Friday night football games, November 2, and conclude Sunday at noon, November 4. Cost for the retreat is $45 per person. Scholarships are available, contact Ricky.
We are meeting in The LOFT on Friday night, starting @ 11 p.m., and we’ll leave by 11:30 p.m. Bring: Bible, bedding for a bed, toiletries, towel, clothes (for sports, hanging out, and campfires), and bring a snack.

Essential Truth Curriculum
The 7th-12th graders are diving into a Sunday morning study of “Essential Truth.” You may still purchase your student handbook for only $5. This handbook will guide the students in daily Bible reading & in Life Groups through the first of January.

BASKETBALL LEAGUE
All guys are invited to sign up for our church league basketball team. We will try to put together several teams. Sign up in The LOFT by Sunday, October 28! Cost will be about $30, and games will begin after the Christmas break on Saturdays.

Middle School Retreat
The 7th-9th graders are looking forward to another exciting retreat at the Dowdy’s ranch November 10th-11th. Cost for the retreat is $30 per person. Sign up & pay by November 4th to get a t-shirt…friends are welcome! Things to Bring: 2 Liter soft drink, sleeping bag, camo clothes, overnight toiletries, comfortable clothes, & Bible.

Family Worship

The AYM welcomes the Freshman & Sophomore Parents to the LOFT this morning for our second week of “Family Worship.” 7^th & 8^th grade parents are encouraged to join us next Sunday morning, October 28^th!

Essential Truth Curriculum

The 7^th-12^th graders will begin a study of “Essential Truth” October TODAY. You may still purchase your student handbook for only $5. This handbook will guide the students in daily Bible reading & in Life Groups through the first of January.

BASKETBALL LEAGUE

If your age group does not have enough, we may work a trade with Mobberly or Oakland Heights for future draft pics (just kidding… ha!). Sign up in The LOFT by Sunday 28! No Encounter Exchange

The 7^th-9^th graders are not meeting in the LOFT this Wednesday. Instead, they may be dropped off at Mobberly’s ELEVATION center for an exciting Christian concert at 6:30 pm. Please make arrangements for pick-up with your teen! Cost of the concert is $12.

Reach Groups

The 10^th-12^th graders continue their GOSPEL JOURNEY at the Perry’s & Alexander’s home this week. Come at 6:45 & bring your friends!

  This Saturday we will leave Alpine at 11:00 am & head to the State Fair in Dallas. If you do not turn in your money for tickets TODAY, you must stop by Krogers this week to buy your ticket & donate $5 towards gas on Saturday. Third Day comes on stage at 8:00 pm & we plan to return home by 1:00 am. Bring cash for lunch, dinner, & games!
