Powder Puff Football

The 4^th annual Powder Puff Football game is TODAY at LOBO Field at 2:00 pm. The 7^th, 9^th, & 11^th grade girls (Pink Team) will match up against the 8^th, 10^th, & 12^th grade girls (Red Team). Parents & friends are encouraged to come & cheer for the teams. In case of bad weather, the game will be cancelled.

New Lives in Christ

Matthew Herigon made a new beginning in his life by accepting Christ as his Savior. We witnessed and celebrated his baptism last Sunday. Way to go, Matthew!

LTC Practice

Your hotel & event registration forms are due TODAY. Please give the forms & payment to Melissa. Today’s practice times are 11:30-12:30 for Chorus & 12:45-1:45 for puppets & drama.

New Date for CHOCOHOLICFEST

This year’s CHOCOHOLICFEST will be Wednesday, March 12^th from 6:00-8:00 pm. Make plans now to attend with your friends & hear a powerful message from nationally known author & speaker, Jason Illian. CHOCOHOLICFEST will wrap up our 4-week dating series filled with fun games & competitions.

Lifeguard CPR

Our next Lifeguard CPR training is next Sunday, February 10^th, immediately after church in the Loft. Come hear about the new curriculum & spring/summer dates.

REVOLVE TOUR

AYM Girls will not want to miss the Women of Faith’s teenage conference February 22-23! We have great tickets to the REVOLVE TOUR in Houston at the Toyota Center. Tickets are $60 per person. We will depart Alpine Friday afternoon & return Saturday evening. Sign up in the LOFT if you can come!

Parents of Teens Class

Parents of 5-12^th grade students are invited to a new class that will help parents with relevant issues in raising their teens in the 21^st century. We meet in the Activity Center below the Loft and will have donuts for parents and teens starting at 8:45 a.m., and then class begins at 9 p.m.

New Lives in Christ
Morghan Parker, Sydney Beckner, Stephanie Shafer, and Seth Somers have made a new beginning in their lives by accepting Christ as their Savior. We witnessed and celebrated their baptisms this past Tuesday and Wednesday.

Wilderness Trek
We are heading to Colorado this summer on June 28th through July 5th. We will journey up a mountain together to discover God’s beauty around us and within us. Carrying 60 lbs. of extra weight around has never been so rewarding. We need a crew of 17 teens from the current 9th-12th grades. Sign up today.

LTC Practice
7th-12th grade LTC practices begin today. The Combined Chorus practices from 11:30-12:30 (lunch included). The drama & puppet groups practice today from 1:00-1:45. All practices are in the LOFT. Please remember to turn in your hotel & event registration form by Sunday, February 3rd.

Jr. High Today
West Erwin C of C in Tyler is hosting a Jr. High Dodgeball tournament TODAY from 6:15-8:00 pm! All 7th & 8th graders will meet at Alpine TODAY at 5:15 pm & travel together to Tyler. Bring $3 for dinner & active clothes! We’ll return to Alpine by 9:00 pm.

WINTERFEST UPDATE

The Winterfest group is still planning to leave from Alpine this afternoon at 5:00 pm. Be here by 4:30 with your luggage, a sack dinner, & a warm coat! Parents can stay updated with the AYM travels through the AYM hotline: 903.233.5950. We will update the hotline upon arrival to Arlington this evening & during our return trip Sunday afternoon.

Winterfest Returns Today

A total of 58 Alpine teens & sponsors spent this weekend in Arlington at the Winterfest youth conference. We will return to Alpine this afternoon at 2:00 pm. Please come pick up your teen at 2:00 & be ready to hear about their weekend experiences!

Winterfest is this weekend! Meet in the Alpine parking lot by 4:30 pm this Friday with a sack dinner. We will return to Alpine Sunday afternoon by 2:00 pm. Cost for the weekend is $65 per person. Please turn in your balance to Melissa or Ricky before Friday! (Cost for sponsors is $30) Don’t forget to bring your Bible, comfortable & casual clothes, backpack, hotel room snacks, overnight toiletries, camera, swimsuit, cash for 3 meals, mall spending money, & contribution cash.

Winterfest 2008
Winterfest is just 2 short weeks away! Awesome classes led by Jeff Walling & great concerts led KUTLESS. Winterfest is a weekend in Arlington with thousands of other teens growing closer to God and each other. The annual teen conference is for 7th-12th graders on January 18-20. Cost for the weekend is $65 per person. Please turn in a $25 deposit to Melissa or Ricky THIS WEEK! Sponsors are still needed…please let us know if you are willing & available!

LTC Lock-in 2008
The LTC Lock-in is this coming Friday, January 11th from 6-10 p.m. 7th-12th grade teens will receive service hours for helping out with the lock-in. E-mail Melissa if you can assist!

Our first game of the season is at 5 p.m. vs St. Mary's on Saturday January 5, in the LHS green gym.
